My grandfather Paul Bähr (* 1926; † 1988) loved to take pictures and can consider himself lucky that he was able to travel so much in his time. I knew nothing of his hobby, as I never met him and his photographs were stored in the basement of my grandmother's house. After my grandmother moved out in 2019 we found many DIA films and I was thrilled to find the shots. The DIAs were still in good condition however they needed to be refurbished. I sent them to Media Fix in Cologne who cleaned and scanned the footage for me.

The pictures were taken in Spain, France, Africa and South America between 1955 and 1970.
